a day late...
Hi!
It turns out yesterday was Wednesday, not today. Happy Thursday and sorry I’m late.
this week’s style icon:
The world’s oldest cat. He’s 31.
what I’m clicking:
How sorority girls dress | Oprah gets the Vogue treatment | Why you should stop faking a service dog and why there needs to be a dog-friendly airline | The secret to successful relationships | A ride on India’s longest train | Back 2 School Books
what I’m wanderlusting:
This hotel I found in Cambodia that’s only $6/night. The next time somebody looks at me the wrong way on the subway I'm packing up and moving here for good.
what I’m reading:
Kevin Kwan
This trilogy (Crazy Rich Asians, China Rich Girlfriend) is the ultimate guilty pleasure. I really can’t think of a book that’s more fun to read - it encompasses all of my favorite things, like food, fashion, fancy houses, and frivolous travel. They’re completely superficial books with plots that make absolutely no sense whatsoever, but they’re way smarter and funnier than you'd expect.
Did it make me cry: No.
Did it make me laugh: Yes.
Did it make me miss a subway stop: No.
Would I recommend it: Do yourself a favor and read this trilogy because it is the ultimate form of escapism.
Would I read it again: Actually, I’m totally positive I will reread these books someday. Probably during some drab winter month when I don’t have any vacations planned.
Would it be a good movie: It’s already being made into a movie, which is ridiculous because you would need a trillion dollar budget to do any of this justice.

Wreck and Order and Hillbilly Elegy
